Dr. Betty Fetscher

Betty Fetscher is a biologist specializing in stream ecology, botany, and the analysis of ecological data. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1992, and her Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego, in 1999. Dr. Fetscher, who joined SCCWRP in December 2003, directs the stream algae research program and has been working with State agency personnel to develop the capacity for statewide stream bioassessment using algal indicators.
