Steve Bay


Steven M. Bay is a biologist who specializes in the physiology and developmental biology of invertebrates. He received his undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from California State University, Long Beach in 1976 and a Masters Degree in Biology from the same university in 1982. Steve joined SCCWRP in August 1980. His prior experience included teaching at Fullerton College and marine environmental research with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Reish Marine Studies Inc. Steve’s present research activities focus on using laboratory methods to measure the chronic effects of contaminants on marine life and to determine the relationship between toxicity and population changes.
