Greg Lyon
Greg has been involved in assessing bacterial and pollutant loads in Southern California watersheds and receiving waters for the development of TMDLs. He participated in a monitoring program to determine baseline water quality conditions throughout the Malibu Creek watershed and has conducted field and lab work for a two-year study of microbiological water quality at reference beaches following storm events. Currently he is involved in a related study, conducting field sampling for a study of natural bacteria levels at reference sites within Southern California watersheds. Greg is also focused on analyzing effluent data to estimate mass emissions to the Southern California Bight from large POTWs and other point sources.
