Raphael D. Mazor is a freshwater biologist specializing in bioassessment using benthic macroinvertebrates, periphyton, and other aquatic organisms. He received a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University (1999) and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from the University of California, Berkeley (2006), and joined SCCWRP in 2006. His research focuses on the development and evaluation of regional bioassessment programs for mediterranean-climate streams in southern California.
