Response to Bidders Questions

Q:  When you say 300 pages is that 300 sheets single sided or 150 sheets double sided?

A:  150 sheets double sided.

Q:  What is the final quantity of Annual Reports you need?

A:  800.

Q:  Can I use a coated stock that I think will work well since the stock specified does not exist?

A:  Production materials may be discussed after the contract is awarded.

Q:  What is the ink coverage?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.

Q:  Can I get an actual sample of previous Annual Report that this would closely represent?

A:  Please contact Karlene Miller immediately if you have not received the sample SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report.

Q:  How many colors are printing on the covers?

A:  The cover of the sample SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report is two color.

Q:  When the covers are laid out flat, are they printed on both sides or one side?

A:  The front cover and spine of the sample SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report is printed on one side; the back cover is blank.

Q:  I am attaching a copy of our setup guidelines. Can you furnish your file with a sample adhering to these guidelines?

A:  Production methods may be discussed after the contract is awarded.

Q:  The sample Annual Report 1999-2000, which all bidders are basing their proposal is printed on 80# Recycled Coated Cover and 80# Recycled Coated Book stock. In the Scope of Work a paper reference 20# Coated Paper and 60# Coated Cover is referenced. Are you looking for a lighter weight book and cover stock that is not recycled for an alternative bid?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.

Q:  In the scope of work section the papers listed are 20#coated and 60#coated but the sample is 80#matte book and 80#matte cover. Should we bid based on the sample as to not change the format of the book?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.

Q:  The 1999-2000 sample I received is printed on a 10-Pt C1S for the cover and 80# Coated book for the text pages. And your RFP indicates we should base our proposal on that sample. However, your specs indicate 60# Coated paper for the cover and 20# coated paper for the insides. Should I be quoting according to the sample, or according to these specs?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.

Q:  Just wondering if a one-color inside is workable for you, or if you are married to the blue highlights?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.

Q:  Is it necessary to print all of the pages in the 2 color format?

A:  Please base proposal on the SCCWRP 1999-2000 Annual Report distributed with bid invitations.
