Background:
The California Integrated Water Quality System (CIWQS) is a computer system used by the State and Regional Water Resources Control Boards (SWRCB; RWRCB) for statewide water quality data management. To improve the quality and functionality of the system, the SWRCB has sought an external review of CIWQS. This review will be impartially facilitated by SCCWRP and directed by a Review Panel consisting of eight experts from around the country. The first phase of the review included recommendations on how to improve vision and implementation success. A preliminary report was issued in July 2007. The second phase will focus on assessing how well the CIWQS team has modified the program in response to those recommendations.
Meeting Information:
The second review meeting will take place February 27 - 28 at SCCWRP.
