Abel Santana is a Senior Research Technician in the Biology Department at SCCWRP, specializing in Geospatial Data Analysis, Cartography and Network Administration. His current projects include database design and management, geospatial data visualization and analysis, as well as development of field data collection tools.

He received his B.A. in geography in 2012, and his M.S. in geography with an emphasis on GIS in 2016, both from California State University, Long Beach. He joined SCCWRP in 2012.
